Adding Your First Idea

The Idea Inbox is where all your content ideas live. There are several ways to add ideas:

Method 1: Quick Capture Bar

The capture bar is always visible at the top of the Inbox page.

  1. Go to Idea Inbox from the sidebar
  2. Type your idea title in the capture bar at the top
  3. Press Enter or click the send button
  4. The idea is instantly created and AI scoring begins

Method 2: Detailed Capture Modal

For more control over your idea:

  1. Click the + New Idea button in the Inbox
  2. Fill in: Title, Description, Category, Language, Tags
  3. Click Save

Method 3: Import from Sources

  • PDF Upload: Drop a PDF and AI extracts 10-20 ideas from it
  • URL/Link: Paste any URL and AI extracts ideas from the page content
  • Voice: Speak your idea and it's transcribed automatically
  • Screenshot: Paste a screenshot and AI reads the text from it

What Happens After You Add an Idea

  1. AI Scoring: Within seconds, your idea gets a score from 1-10 with a specific rationale explaining why
  2. Category: AI suggests whether it's Evergreen, Trending, Insight, Data, or Opinion
  3. Angle: AI suggests the best angle — Pain Point, Framework, Build, Question, Opinion, Lesson, or Trend
  4. Urgency: AI flags if this is time-sensitive (Normal, High, or Critical)

Approving an Idea

Once you see an idea you want to create content from:

  1. Click the idea card to open the detail view
  2. Click "Approve"
  3. Select which content formats you want (LinkedIn post, Twitter thread, blog article, etc.)
  4. The idea moves to "Approved" status and is ready to cook in the Idea Kitchen
